Martyn Lewis CBE
Martyn is a co-founder and Chairman of NICE TV. He has played a key role in the development and success of the company. He also chairs many conferences and public sector awards on behalf of NICE TV.
Previously, over three decades in TV journalism, he became one of the UK's best known and respected TV anchormen. He is also Founder and Chairman of YouthNet, an internet-based charity that provides help and information to half a million young people every month and has developed the UK's national volunteering database. Honouring YouthNet in 2007 with prestigious awards from Charity Times and Computing Magazine, the judges said the charity was "using technology to engage with people in new and innovative ways". Other charity involvement includes: President of United Response, helping people with learning disabilities, Vice-President of the UK's three main hospice charities, a Trustee of the Windsor Leadership Trust, developing the leaders of tomorrow and Chairman of the Main Award Committee of the Queen's Award for Voluntary Service. He is a regular judge for the Lord Mayor of London's Dragon Awards, honouring companies in the City of London for their work in helping the community.
He was awarded a CBE in the Prime Minister's Honours list of 1997.
